cutover and Requisition posting dates
Dear Directors:
As you are aware, on
December 2nd we are rolling out an enterprise-wide Staffing
System, “Careers At BellSouth”. The
new system will be accessible from any PC that has Intranet/ Internet
capability. This means that
employees, as well as external jobseekers, will be able to access the
system 24/7.
In order for us to
transition to the new Staffing System, we must have a quiet period to
shift from the old system to the new system.
This quiet period will begin the evening of November 22nd and
extend through December 8th.
Due to contractual obligations, we will need to have any
requisitions by November 14th that the Departments may have
planned to post November 22nd – December 8th in order to adhere to the 7
day posting requirement for represented vacancies and accommodate the
quiet period. In the past,
we’ve asked for requisitions with January report dates to be given to us
by mid-November and as a reminder to the departments these requisitions
would definitely be included in the requisitions that we need to have in
Staffing and posted no later than November 14th.
For management
positions, the last day to post will be November 22nd since there are no
contractual parameters.
Further detailed
timelines will be delivered to the employee body via electronic media, as
well as print material for the represented employees.
We will inform you of these communications prior to release so that
the generalists will be aware and prepared for the inquiries they may
receive.
