Memorandum of Agreement

 

This agreement between the Communications Workers of America (the Union) and Participating Companies in the BellSouth Pension Plan sponsored by BellSouth Corporation (the Company) outlines the understanding reached by the parties in regards to the pension band increase scheduled for July 1, 2003 and receipt date for the irrevocable SIPP/ESIPP Acceptance Form.

 

Appendix B Part II

On a non-precedent setting basis, the parties agree that the Pension band increase scheduled for July 1, 2003 for participants eligible for a service pension will occur on June 1, 2003.  Service pensioners retiring on or after June 1, 2003 will receive the new pension band increase.

 On a non-precedent setting basis, the parties agree to extend the due date for the Irrevocable SIPP/ESIPP Acceptance Form from March 25, 2003 to March 28, 2003.
