Subject: Lucent Tentative Agreement - January 13, 2003

After around the clock bargaining over the weekend,

CWA and Lucent Technologies reached a tentative agreement

at 5:00a.m. this morning for a new 20 month agreement.

A summary bargaining report will be forthcoming.

Contract explanation for all Local Presidents will

be held at the C&T meeting. The agreement was unanimously

endorsed by all the bargaining teams.
