RE:  DOT CERTIFICATION

 

The Company is passing out forms to all DOT-certified employees asking that they sign allowing access to their driving records.

 

BellSouth, as the employer, has the ability to check this information without our members signing this form, however, vendor access does require a signature.

 

We have told the Company we will not sign this form as long as Social Security information is part of it.  Some managers are telling employees they do not have to put the Social Security number on the form, however, what stops the addition of the Social Security number after the form is signed?

 

We suggest not signing unless forced by direct order, and in that case, grieve immediately.
